Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation now has eight active coronavirus cases within the facility, four residents and four staff members, according to the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH).
The new cases increase to 76 the total number of COVID-19 cases that have arisen from the long-term care facility, the KDPH reports, as 51 residents and 25 staff members have tested positive for the virus since the onset of the pandemic.
According to the KDPH, 39 residents have recovered, and eight residents have died after contracting the virus. All the staff members who tested positive for the virus have recovered except the four currently active cases.
Grayson County’s other nursing home, Spring View Nursing & Rehabilitation, has not had a positive case in several weeks. The facility has had a total of 28 residents and 14 staff members test positive since the beginning of the pandemic. Two resident deaths have been blamed on the virus.
