Kentucky State Police is searching for an “armed and dangerous” person of interest in a LaRue County death investigation.

KSP Post 4 spokesman Scotty Sharp said detectives are conducting a death investigation in Hodgenville after a fatal shooting on Dana Drive, about a quarter-mile from LaRue County High School. The shooting occurred Wednesday night sometime prior to 11:30.

According to Sharp, 21-year-old Levi G. Sheroon, of Mount Sherman (Green County), suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and was later pronounced dead at Baptist Health Hardin.

Sharp said police are looking for 22-year-old Timothy R. Hedges, of Hodgenville, who law enforcement says “may have information” regarding the death investigation.

Additionally, Hedges has warrants for his arrest and “should be considered armed and dangerous,” Sharp said.

Anyone with information on Hedges’ whereabouts is asked to contact KSP Post 4 at 270-766-5078, or your local law enforcement agency. Sharp stressed that citizens should not attempt to approach or apprehend Hedges.
