The Tailwater Recreation Area gate will be closed on Sunday and into next week.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said the gate at Rough River Lake will be closed from 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, through Saturday, August 22, at 7:00 a.m. Authorities said the “gate will be closed to all public access due to conduit inspections and repairs.”
The public will not be allowed to drive, walk or fish in the area immediately below the Rough River Dam during this time, officials said.
