Three people, including a Millwood woman, have been arrested after fleeing the Leitchfield Police Department.

According to Leitchfield PD Detective Kevin Smith, Wednesday morning at approximately 9:00, police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2006 Hyundai in the 2300 block of Elizabethtown Road when the vehicle, being driven by 25-year-old Summer L. Elliott, of Millwood, fled police.

The vehicle fled at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, Smith said, when officers made a decision to terminate the pursuit due to public safety and increased traffic congestion.

The vehicle continued south on William Thomason Byway where it failed to negotiate a curve. The Hyundai then left the roadway and traveled over an embankment, before coming to rest in a ditch near the intersection with South Main Street.

No one was injured in the crash, as Elliott exited the vehicle and fled on foot before officers placed her into custody.

All three suspects were arrested and charged with the following counts:

Elliott was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property, fleeing or evading police, and no operator’s license

Dekoda E. Stinson, 26, of Louisville, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police and receiving stolen property.

Rollan W. Kimberley, 36, of Fairdale, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police and receiving stolen property.

All three were transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for medical clearance and then to the Grayson County Detention Center.
