Rev. Charles Edward Meredith, age 79, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Monday, (June 22, 2020) at his home.
He was born on October 26, 1940 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Lonard and Anna B. Cannon Meredith.
A Veteran of the U.S. Army, He was a minister, who enjoyed fishing, gardening and was an avid UK fan. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Church.
He is survived by two sons, Lonnie Meredith of Leitchfield and Bob Meredith (Rebekah) of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Terri Logsdon (Tim) of Leitchfield and Lisa Meredith of Louisville, KY; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Helen Craig of Clarkson, KY, Leva Milliner (James) of Morgantown, KY, and Vicki Bleemel (Calvin) of Shepherdsville, KY; three brothers, Vernon Meredith (Sandra), and Bill Meredith (Valerie) both of Clarkson, and Murrell Meredith (Jill) of Leitchfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Royce Logsdon, and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (June 28, 2020) at the Mt. Vernon Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Jimmy Tucker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and will move to Mt. Vernon Church for visitation from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mt. Vernon Cemetery Fund.
