A Clarkson man arrested at least four times in the last 21 months has been jailed on drug and drunk driving charges.

Tuesday night at approximately 11:45, Leitchfield Police Officer DJ Newton was patrolling on the William Thomason Byway when he observed a Chevrolet HHR with expired tags and only one working headlight.

Newton pulled the southbound vehicle over in the 700 block of the byway, across from Beville City Park. Upon making contact with the driver, 24-year-old Troy Blair, of Clarkson, Newton asked for and was granted consent to search Blair where he located prescription medication not in a proper container. A needle was also found inside the vehicle.

Blair was given a field sobriety test and arrested.

He was charged with DUI, having a prescription controlled substance not in its proper container, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plate, no registration receipt, no operator’s license.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

LPD Sgt. Keith Harrell and Officer Chance Anthony, along with Grayson County Deputy Mark Johnson assisted at the scene.

Blair was arrested in August of last year when he was accused of threatening a random person with a knife on West Market Street. He ran from police but was caught on a nearby street. He was charged with terroristic threatening and fleeing or evading police.

In July 2019, Blair was jailed after police found methamphetamine during a traffic stop on North Main Street, in Leitchfield. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In June 2018, Blair was wanted by the Clarkson Police Department on drug and fleeing charges when, after receiving a tip, officers located and arrested Blair at a Leitchfield residence. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and fleeing or evading police.
