Fifty-three nursing homes in Kentucky account for at least 650 coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and 71 deaths (as of Monday).
With concerns rising that Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation could become a Grayson County COVID-19 “hot-spot,” numbers provided by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services indicate several nursing homes around Kentucky are suffering from dozens of coronavirus cases and multiple deaths.
The respiratory illness quickly spread through Ridgewood Terrace in Hopkins County and Treyton Oak Towers in Louisville, killing a total of 21 people at those facilities, according to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Fourteen other long-term care facilities in the state have had at least one COVID-19-related death.
