After Grayson County’s fourth coronavirus (COVID-19) case was announced Saturday, Grayson County Judge-Executive Kevin Henderson said on Sunday the county’s fifth case of the virus has been confirmed.
Henderson said in a social media post, “The Grayson County Health Department has confirmed the county’s 5th case of COVID19 today. (The victim) is a 22-year-old female in stable condition at home.”
Officials have contacted anyone the victim has had close contact with over the last several days.
The fourth patient, a man in his early 50s, according to the Grayson County Health Department, is also being quarantined at home.
Henderson reminded people of the importance of social distancing, handwashing, cleaning, and staying home if you feel sick. Anyone experiencing symptoms, including a dry cough, fever, or respiratory distress, should contact your primary care physician, the judge stressed.
Political and healthcare leaders,including Henderson, will participate in a COVID-19 briefing on Monday afternoon at 2:00. The briefing can be seen live on K105’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
Remember to continue to follow all social distancing and other guidelines, and treat everyone as if they have the virus, Henderson reminded people. “Be cautious but, not fearful.”
