A traffic stop in Hardin County has led police to charge three people with participating in a drug distribution organization.

Kentucky State Police said that Saturday morning just after midnight, troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the corner of West Lincoln Trail Boulevard and North Dixie Avenue in Radcliff. During a search of the vehicle, being driven by 36-year-old Nicole L. Lewis, of Radcliff, troopers located marijuana and cash.

Police said that information obtained during the stop led troopers to execute a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Oak Ridge Drive, in Radcliff. The search of the home led to the seizure of synthetic marijuana, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

Police arrested Lewis and charged her with engaging in organized crime, first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of a controlled substance (opiates), trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia along with non-moving violations.

Gerrod D. McElroy, 32 (no address available), and Vershawn Gregory, 32, of Radcliff, were charged with engaging in organized crime, first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nadine D. Colquitt, 34 (no address available), was charged with possession of synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with an outstanding warrant.

All four suspects were lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.

KSP was assisted by the Radcliff and West Point Police Departments and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by Trooper Ethan Whitlock.
