The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of breaking into a non-denominational church in Centertown.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said the break-in at Centertown Tabernacle Church, on 635 Pearl Street, occurred between December 8, 2019 and December 15, 2019. Centertown is located about six miles west of Hartford (Hwy 69/85 runs through the heart of the community).

Beatty is asking the public to help identity, via the surveillance video below, the apparently white male suspect with dark hair, or the truck he is driving.

Seen in the nearly two-and-a-half minute video below; after driving to the area, the suspect parks his truck next to a dark colored passenger car, exits his vehicle and appears to talk to someone who is seated in the car.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office at 270-298-4411 or contact the OCSO via its Facebook page.
