At Tuesday’s Grayson County Fiscal Court meeting, magistrates agreed to move the first Fiscal Court meeting of each month, and also change the time of the meeting.

At the request of Judge-Executive Kevin Henderson, the meeting time will be moved to 11:00 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, and the location will be changed to 130 East Market Street, which now houses several county offices and has a suitable meeting room. Henderson said moving the time of the meeting is intended to accommodate the magistrates’ schedules.

The first meeting of the month generally takes fewer than 15 to 20 minutes, as the purpose of the meeting is to approve bill payments.

The second Fiscal Court meeting of the month will remain on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. but will also be moved to the 130 East Market Street location.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, magistrates approved a resolution for updates to waterlines and easements on McDonald Road, Hickory Grove Road, Shaw Station Road, Johnny Frank Road, and Old Scout Road.

According to Jeremy Woosley, Grayson County Water District’s Water Quality and Meteoring Coordinator, the work will “allow the water district to move water more efficiently.”
