An Edmonson County convicted felon has been arrested along with two women after police found drugs and a handgun during a traffic stop in Glasgow.

Last week, the Glasgow Police Department conducted a traffic stop on North Lewis Street and made contact with the driver, 47-year-old Jason W. Bothe, of Rocky Hill, and confirmed his driver’s license was suspended. A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun in the center console, methamphetamine and marijuana, according to police.

Bothe and two passengers, Charlene G. Graves, 50, and Bonnie H. Moore, 63, both of Glasgow, were arrested.

Bothe was charged with possession of a controlled substance (his second offense), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and driving on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.

While being processed into the Barren County Detention Center, deputy jailers discovered a bag of methamphetamine inside Bothe’s mouth, police said. As a result, he was additionally charged with promoting contraband.

Graves and Moore were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

All three suspects were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
