Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Offers Express Enrollment August 13 – 15
Elizabethtown, Ky. – Students at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, already the most affordable college in Kentucky, can earn many credentials free with the Work Ready Scholarship. Students can take advantage of a one-stop enrollment opportunity August 13 -15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Classes start Monday, August 19, with 12-week sessions starting September 16 and 8-week sessions starting October 14.
Express Enrollment provides assistance with applications, enrollment, financial aid, scheduling and other items that prospective students need to complete for the fall semester. Additionally, if a student has not taken a placement test, that can be scheduled as well.
The goal is to make the enrollment process as simple and fast as possible. Most students should be able to complete the process in one visit.
“We know many of our prospective students are anxious about college, but we want to relieve that anxiety and make enrolling as easy as possible,” said Suzanne Darland, Director, Advising Center. “We believe if we can simplify this first important step, more students are likely to take advantage of the affordable opportunities ECTC has to offer.” They can also make appointments by calling 270-706-8695.
Students can opt for a two-year Associate in Arts or Associate in Science Degree that will transfer to four-year colleges and universities in Kentucky and provide an affordable, quality foundation for bachelor’s degrees. Or they can study technical or healthcare fields that lead directly to rewarding in-demand careers after earning certificates, diplomas or degrees. Many of those fields of study are covered by the Work Ready Scholarship, which pays tuition for credentials in advanced manufacturing, transportation and logistics, information technology, business, and healthcare. There are no age or income limitations to be eligible for the Work Ready Scholarship. Students who are Kentucky residents and have no college degree can be eligible.
