Grayson County law enforcement arrested two wanted subjects on Tuesday night as police swarmed a mobile home on South Lonnie Lane, just off Kefauver Road.
Tuesday night at approximately 6:30, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Norder, Deputies Mark Newman, Brandon Rafferty, Sean Fentress, Allen Cleveland, and Constable Mark Stanton, along with Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith and CKPD Officer Blake Elmore, descended on a South Lonnie Lane property searching for 24-year-old Dylan G. Higdon and 21-year-old Candice J. Sanders, both of Millwood.
Clarkson police received information that the two suspects, wanted for manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance, were at the South Lonnie Lane property.
Law enforcement, including Newman, Meredith, Stanton, Elmore, and Cleveland, clandestinely approached the remote property on foot, surrounded the mobile home and encountered 39-year-old Serena Beasley, of Millwood, who informed Stanton that the suspects were not at the residence, according to police. Further investigation, though, revealed both suspects were at the trailer, with Higdon fleeing police on foot before being quickly captured by Elmore. During a search of Higdon police found a syringe.
Sanders was taken into custody without incident.
Higdon was charged with fleeing or evading police (on foot) and possession of drug paraphernalia, and served with warrants for manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance (date rape drug). Sanders was served with warrants charging her with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and non-payment of fines.
Beasley was also arrested and charged with hindering prosecution.
All three suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
Upon law enforcement arriving at the residence, four separate controlled burns were taking place around the property resulting in the Leitchfield Fire Department responding to the scene at approximately 7:15 and extinguishing the fires.
