Probation and Parole Officer accused of rape, sodomy

A Probation and Parole Officer in Bullitt County has been accused of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy.

Kentucky State Police arrested 51-year-old Ronald R. Tyler, of Shepherdsville, after investigating allegations of rape and sodomy against Tyler. He has also been charged with first-degree official misconduct. The alleged offenses occurred as Tyler served in his official capacity as a Probation and Parole Officer.

Police said further information on the allegations will be released after the charges are presented to the Bullitt County Grand Jury for possible indictment.

Tyler is lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash/property bond.
