Peggy Ann Stillwell, age 68, of Cecilia, KY, passed away Monday, (September 24, 2018) at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
She was born on September 28, 1949 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Ernest and Kathleen Wilson Bradley.
She was a seamstress at Phar Shar, a caretaker, an owner of Peggy’s Clothes Horse and Stillwell’s Transport. She enjoyed shopping, attending church, planting and caring for her flowers and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Stephensburg Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Dewey “DJ” Stillwell (Debbie) of Cecilia; three daughters, Wendy Erickson (Brian) of Elizabethtown, Angela Murphy (Steve) of Eastview and Velvett Miller (Jeff) of Custer; eight grandchildren, Shahaley, Ashley, Ethan, Colton, Brittany, Branden, Shelby and J.D.; eight step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Billie Mudd of Big Clifty, Marilyn Kiper of Cecilia, Kay Higdon of Big Clifty and Lois Cain of Eastview; brothers, Jerry Taylor of DePauw, IN, Ernest “E.J.” Bradley of Eastview, James Bradley of Clarkson and Randall Bradley of Big Clifty. Several nieces, nephews and beloved dogs, Chase and Fancy also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Dewey Stillwell.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. CST Thursday, (September 27, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ronnie Blair will be officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. CST Thursday until time of services.
