Renowned bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman is now searching for the man who threatened Medal of Honor winner and Kentucky resident Dakota Meyer, former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin and President Donald Trump.

Chapman joins the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, Secret Service and multiple law enforcement agencies in the hunt for 27-year-old Shawn Christy, of McAdoo, Pennsylvania.

According to the Mansfield News Journal, Chapman was “retained by a friend of the Christy family who he cannot identify publicly.”

Chapman told the newspaper he has a “hot lead” and that he has delivered messages to the fugitive.

Christy was in Kentucky in August, and is accused of stealing a truck from Meyer’s brother, Timothy Gilliam, and kicking in the door to his home. It’s also thought Christy entered Meyer’s residence in Adair County.

Christy has said he would use “full lethal force on any law enforcement officer that tries to detain me.”

Christy is now believed to be in Ohio after the Ohio State Highway Patrol found a vehicle stolen by Christy, wrecked and in a field adjacent to 1-71, near Mansfield, Ohio.

Christy is a white male with short, dark, blonde hair and a beard. He’s 5-foot-10 and weighs approximately 160 pounds, and has a tattoo of a cross on his right upper arm. He talks with a noticeable lisp and claims to be a survivalist.

Anyone who provides information leading directly to Christy’s arrest is eligible for a $15,000 cash reward.

Anyone who spots Christy is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-WANTED-2 (1-877-926-8332) or the FBI at 1-215-418-4000.
