Monday morning at approximately 1:50, the Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Huddle House on Commerce Drive on the report of a suspicious male.

Upon Officer Keith Harrell and Deputy Rance Whobrey arriving on scene, they located an empty Pontiac Grand Prix in the parking lot, with marijuana in plain view inside the vehicle (both on the seat and dashboard).

As authorities approached the restaurant, the car’s owner, 52-year-old Marvell Lowe, of Leitchfield, exited the building, and told Harrell and Whobrey the vehicle was his.

During a search of the car, police located several grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Lowe was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Officer Tim Moutardier and Deputy DJ Newton assisted at the scene.
