20 suspects indicted by Grayson Co. Grand Jury, including Millwood man already accused of murder; Falls of Rough man indicted for first-degree rape of 14-year-old girl

The Grayson County Grand Jury recently returned indictments against 20 suspects, including accused murderer Robert Carter, of Millwood.

Carter, 36, who is being held in the Grayson County Detention Center after allegedly shooting and killing 29-year-old James Parks in Caneyville on October 26, 2017, was indicted on a first-degree assault charge after beating a fellow inmate with a broom handle in June.

Indicted as co-defendants in the rape and unlawful imprisonment of a 14-year-old girl in January of this year were 19-year-old Michael C. Schafer, of Falls of Rough, and 19-year-old Dana G. Clark, of Leitchfield.

Schafer was indicted on first-degree rape and first-degree unlawful imprisonment charges, while Clark was indicted for complicity on both counts.

Schafer was given a $25,000 cash bond, while Clark was given a $25,000 bond (10 percent cash).

Others indicted include:

William E. Engler, 25, of Leitchfield: Two counts of wanton endangerment, second- and fourth-degree assault, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, failure of owner operator to maintain required insurance.

Nathan W. Siebert, 32, of Leitchfield: First-degree sexual abuse, being a persistent felony offender.

Siebert was given a $10,000 bond (50 percent cash).

Daniel C. Crabtree, 37, of Leitchfield: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), two counts of receiving stolen property, DUI, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding 26 mph or more over limit, no tail lamps.

Crabtree was given a $10,000 bond (25 percent cash).

Jody E. Embry, 36, of Caneyville: Receiving stolen property, obscuring the identity of a machine (over $500), being a persistent felony offender.

Embry was given a $25,000 bond.

Nicholas E. Embry, 34, of Caneyville: Receiving stolen property, obscuring the identity of a machine (over $500).

Embry was given a $25,000 bond.

Raymond Alcorn, 58, of Caneyville: Receiving stolen property, obscuring the identity of a machine (over $500), being a persistent felony offender.

Alcorn was given a $25,000 bond.

Garry E. Hockenbury, 63, of Caneyville: Three counts of criminal mischief, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report a traffic accident.

Hockenbury was given a $10,000 bond (25 percent cash).

Anthony M. Noe, 48, of Leitchfield: Possession of a controlled substance (opiates), DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Noe was given a $10,000 bond (20 percent cash).

Kyle J. Cherry, 32, of Hopkinsville: Trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, being a persistent felony offender.

Cherry was given a $25,000 bond.

William Meredith, 53, of Big Clifty: Tampering with physical evidence.

Kayce D. Lancaster, 33, of Hopkinsville: Trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lancaster was given a $25,000 bond.

Michael Grabau, 39, of Dexter, KY: Receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, no operator’s license.

Grabau was given a $10,000 bond (10 percent cash).

Anthony Reed, 57, of Sonora: DUI, driving on a DUI suspended license, failure of owner operator to maintain required insurance, being a persistent felony offender.

Reed was given a $10,000 bond.

James A. Lucas, 19, of Caneyville: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to surrender revoked operator’s license.

No bond information available.

Lanika E. Freeman, 32, of Louisville: Promoting contraband, possession of marijuana.

Freeman was given a $10,000 bond (10 percent cash).

Julia L. Lynch, 38, of Falls of Rough: Second-degree assault.

Lynch was given a $10,000 bond (20 percent cash).
