Monday at noon, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkson Police Department and Kentucky State Police responded to a bank robbery in Big Clifty.

Early reports indicate two males entered the Wilson & Muir Bank at 9790 Elizabethtown Road and demanded money. The two men left the bank and entered a blue passenger car with no license plate, and being driven by a female. Apparently, the vehicle fled the scene traveling west, toward Clarkson, on Elizabethtown Road.

It’s unclear at this point how much cash the suspects stole or what type of weapon was used in the robbery (UPDATE 1:47 p.m. — The suspects brandished at least one handgun during the robbery)

Police are currently conducting an on-scene inquiry. Kentucky State Police will lead the investigation.

There were no injuries reported. K105 will have more information on this story as it becomes available.
