A U.S. Bank employee in Marshall County has been arrested for stealing $20,000 from the institution.
Kentucky State Police said 40-year-old Amanda R. Powell, of Benton, was arrested for theft by unlawful taking (over $10,000), a class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison. Powell’s arrest comes after Kentucky State Police presented evidence to the Marshall County Grand Jury, who then returned an indictment.
Powell was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
The investigation continues and is being led by Kentucky State Police.
