The Police Chief of the Horse Cave Police Department and on officer have been placed on paid administrative leave as an FBI and Kentucky State Police investigation into the department continues.

Chief Sean Henry and officer Chris Trulock have been placed on indefinite leave. Henry has been chief for six years, while Trulock joined the department in November 2017.

The Associated Press reports that electronics, including personal cell phones and computers, were seized last Wednesday and returned on Friday.

The FBI has not released information regarding the investigation, but last week the FBI said in a statement that “As part of an ongoing federal investigation, the FBI and KSP executed legal process authorized by a federal judge at the Horse Cave Police Department.”

With the department down to four officers (and with one of those officers a school resource officer), Hart County Sheriff Boston Hensley said his deputies will patrol the Horse Cave area around the clock while the Horse Cave officers will cover morning and early evening shifts.
