The National Weather Service and the Kentucky Emergency Alert System, which includes all Kentucky radio and TV stations, will conduct a tornado drill in support of Gov. Matt Bevin’s order naming February “Severe Storm Preparedness Month.”
The test will be a statewide tornado drill and will occur Thursday morning at 9:07 (in case of threatening weather, the test would be postponed until March 7).
The flooding and weather outlook caused some concern among officials, as there will likely be some rain, possibly even a thunderstorm in the state, but according to Kentucky State Emergency Communications Committee Chair Greg Happel, meteorologists expect no severe weather in the state.
