Additional information has been released revealing a domestic incident evolved into a deadly double-shooting in Breckinridge County.

The shootings occurred at 484 Centerview-Rough River Lane, less than five miles from the Breck/Grayson County line, early Wednesday morning. Post 4 Kentucky State Police spokesman Jeff Gregory said KSP responded to the scene at approximately 12:18.

Upon arriving at the location, police found that a shooting took place outside the residence. Authorities found 60 year-old Donny Peek, of Westview, and 55 year-old Jeffrey Moore, of Harned, deceased in the driveway. Both had suffered gunshot wounds.

The investigation showed that Peek was the live-in boyfriend of Theresa Moore, who lives at the Centerview-Rough River Lane residence, along with her son, 28 year-old Jonathan Masterson.

Gregory said that allegedly Peek and Theresa Moore were in a domestic dispute when her estranged husband, Jeffrey Moore, was called to the residence. When Jeffrey Moore arrived, he and Peek became involved in a physical altercation in the driveway that resulted in Peek shooting Jeffrey Moore.

Masterson attempted to render aid to Jeffrey Moore when Peek allegedly fired a shot at Masterson, resulting in Masterson shooting Peek several times, killing him.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time, according to Gregory.

When the investigation is complete, the evidence will be presented to the Breckinridge County Attorney for review, Gregory said.

Autopsies on both decedents were performed Wednesday morning at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by KSP Post 4 Detective Adam Hutchison.
