Police looking for driver who fled fatal hit-and-run in LaRue County; 28-year-old woman killed

Saturday night at approximately 10:00, Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 210 (Campbellsville Road) and Borders Curve Loop, in LaRue County.

According to police, a 2013 Chevy Equinox with an unidentified driver was traveling west on Hwy 210, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2010 Nissan Altima, being driven by 28-year-old Stephanie Jensen, of Magnolia.

Jensen was later pronounced dead at the scene by the LaRue County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Equinox fled the scene on foot before emergency personnel arrived. KSP Troopers along with officers from Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, the LaRue County Sheriff’s Office, Hodgenville Police Department, and LaRue County Fire Department searched the area for the missing driver but were unsuccessful in locating anyone.
