Police in Whitley County said a man who set up a date online was the victim of a robbery.

Monday night a little after 9:00, the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence just outside of Corbin. The 23-year-old victim told police he set up a date with a woman he met online.

Just minutes after she arrived at his home, he told authorities four men burst through the door. The victim ran out the back door of the home, but the suspects followed him and robbed him at gunpoint.

The suspects stole a PlayStation 4, $400 in cash, a revolver, an Apple iPhone and a .22 rifle, according to multiple media reports.

Because the suspects had their faces covered, police have a limited description of the men.
