William Boyd “Buck” Jones, age 78, of Clarkson, KY passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. He was born in Grayson County, KY on August 31, 1939, son of the late Callie and Sudie Mae (Boone) Jones and was married to Frances (Feezor) Jones.
Buck, as he was known by all his friends, has been a member of Clarkson Baptist Church since 1958. He was a retired truck driver and drove over a million miles during his career. He served in the Army Reserve for 6 years.
He is survived by his wife Frances (Feezor) Jones, his three daughters; Lisa Kelly Jones, Holly Anne Jones (Bill Bell) and Amy Rebecca Jones (Jerry Kennison). Also surviving is one sister; Sue Wilkerson (Thomas) and his grandson, William Dale Jones.
Buck was preceded in death by his Parents, two sisters; Totsie Edwards and Betty Skaggs and one brother; Larry Jones.
Funeral Services: Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM CDT at Clarkson Baptist Church with Bro. John Whittaker and Bro. Billy Carter officiating; Burial will follow in Clarkson Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 2-8 PM CDT; Friday after 9:00 AM at Clarkson Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Clarkson Baptist Church.
