Two Russell County men have been arrested and accused of burglarizing two churches.

Over the weekend, police arrested 39-year-old Bradley Hicks, of Russell Springs, and 37-year-old Christopher Pickett, of Jamestown.

Police said Hicks’s arrest led to the recovery of items stolen from Faith General Independent Church, with authorities also finding safes and documents from a different church. The Casey County Sheriff confirmed the safes were stolen from an unidentified church in his county, according to WKYT.com.

Authorities expect to make more arrests in the case.

Pickett and Hicks are being held in the Russell County Jail where they are charged with burglary.
