Betty Sue Logsdon, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 29, 2017) in Louisville.
She was born on November 11, 1947 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Nell Johnson Embry.
She worked as a clerk at the Midway Pharmacy in Clarkson. She was a member of the Thomas Homemakers Club for 45 years. She was active with the Homemakers working at the Grayson County Fair. She also worked as an election officer. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, canning and gardening, reading and activities with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Clarkson Church of Christ for 60 years, in which she was very active.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Norman Logsdon of Leitchfield; daughters, Marsha Logsdon Wagoner (Andy) of Bowling Green, Stephanie Logsdon Carroll (Richie Carman), and Jennifer Logsdon all of Leitchfield; four grandchildren, Jacob Carroll (Rebekah), Hannah Wagoner, Blake Carroll, and Clay Wagoner; brothers, Wayne and Byron Embry of Leitchfield; sisters, Kathy Williams of Leitchfield and Donna Irani of Milford MA; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (September 4, 2017) at the Clarkson Church of Christ. Mark Weaver will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Garden Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, until time of services at the church.
