This morning at approximately 8:45, Kentucky State Police responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer at the 42 mile marker of I-65 in Warren County.
According to police, the initial investigation indicated that 67-year-old Thomas M. Peters, of Hamilton, Ohio was driving a semi-truck in the right lane of the interstate when the vehicle left the right shoulder of the roadway. The truck then proceeded up an earthen embankment, where it struck a tree located in a tree line off of Hayes Lodge Road, near Smiths Grove.
Peters was transported to The Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries.
Police said rain and wet road conditions are considered contributing factors to the crash.
