Michael A. Wilcher, age 52, of Yeaman, KY, passed away Friday, (August 25, 2017) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on July 10, 1965, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Charlie Wilcher and Martha Jane Wright.
He was the owner and operator of Wilcher’s Tire and Automotive and a tow truck driver who enjoyed working on cars, fishing and riding his motorcycle, and playing with his grandchildren. He was a member the Baptist faith and attended the Southside Christian Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Wilcher of Yeaman; a son, Michael Jacob Wilcher (Brittany) of Shepherdsville, KY; three daughters, Patty Overton (John) and Kristy Basham (Claude) both of Leitchfield, KY, Ashley Wilcher of Owensboro, KY; his mother-in-law Mary Sue Wilcher of Caneyville, KY; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Jeffrey and Kaitlyn Dodson, Sage and Madison Overton, Alexander Wilcher and Katie Basham; a sister, Charlotte Brooks (Junior) of Lindseyville, KY.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Garrett Dodson, and an infant grandchild, Baby Wilcher.
A private service will be held at a later date.
