An Ohio County Detention Center inmate has been charged with promoting contraband.
A month-long investigation by Kentucky State Police has culminated in the arrest of 31-year-old Tyler Asberry, of Beaver Dam.
Already in jail since June 8 on burglary and assault charges, Asberry has now been charged with promoting contraband and his second count of being a persistent felony offender.
Police did not release what type of drug Asberry introduced into the jail.
He’s now being held on two bonds totaling $50,000.
