Nancy Jane Yerian, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Sunday, (July 28, 2024) at her home.
She was born on August 5, 1942 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Lovin H. and Mable Elizabeth Willis.
She retired from Walmart where she worked as a cashier for the Pharmacy for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, being with friends and family, going to church, and traveling to Gulf Shores. She was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her adopted son, Brian Yerian (Saundra) of Bowling Green, KY; brother-in-law, Ralph Yerian of Leitchfield; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Fennell of Virgina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene Yerian; mother who raised her, Marie Willis; brothers, Edsel and William Thomas Willis; step-brothers, Bobby Bratcher and Dan McHugh; and a special friend, Charles Smith.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (August 1, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joe Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope General Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
