The identities of the two men who perished in a boat crash in Falls of Rough have been released.

David N. Stomberger, 46, of Crestwood, and Eric P. Derloshon, 51, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, were both killed in the crash that happened Sunday morning at approximately 12:30 when a bass boat, containing two Grayson County men, crashed into a pontoon boat containing several people on Rough River Lake in the Cave Creek area of the park.

Stomberger was the driver of the pontoon boat and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Grayson County Deputy Coroner James Embry. Derloshon’s body was discovered in Rough River Lake Sunday afternoon by divers.

The pontoon boat, according to a source familiar with the investigation, did not have its lights on at the time of the crash.

The two men in the bass boat were uninjured.

A female victim was airlifted from the Falls of Rough Airport and transported to a Louisville hospital and another female was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center, according to multiple law enforcement sources.

A third female requested EMS at approximately 3:10 a.m. Sunday after previously refusing transport.

Multiple first-responders were on-scene for several hours at the Cave Creek Boat Ramp, including the Falls of Rough Fire Department, Leitchfield Fire Department, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife officers, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Grayson County Coroner’s Office, a Louisville Metro Police Department dive team, and Army Corps of Engineers, along with search and rescue teams from Barren and Hart counties, Grayson County Emergency Management, and emergency management personnel from multiple other counties.

The American Red Cross arrived on the scene Sunday afternoon and provided first responders with food and drink.

Kentucky Fish & Wildlife is leading the ongoing investigation.
