Charles William Brooks, age 60, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (July 26, 2024) at his home.
He was born on February 25, 1964 in Grayson County, KY, the son of Charles Edward and Mary Mercer Brooks.
He worked in masonry laying brick and enjoyed fishing, gardening, hiking, spending time outdoors, working on small motors, his chickens and bathing in the creek.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Mary Mercer Brooks of Millwood; two daughters, Sabrina Tomes (Travis) of Leitchfield, & Tamarya Brooks of Kansas; two sons, Andrew Brooks of Elizabethtown and Allen Brooks of Leitchfield; a step-son, Anthony Blunk of Leitchfield; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Charlene Jaggers (Dennis) of Edmonson County. Two nieces, Kimberly Swift (Danny) of Millwood, KY & Samantha Haynes of Caneyville; and a great-nephew, Aaron Parks, also survive.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Alecia Moran and a nephew Aaron Haynes.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (July 30, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Johnny Calvin Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
