A Caneyville man in pretrial diversion from a previous theft case has been jailed on multiple felony charges after fleeing from Leitchfield police.

Andrew J. Oller, 38, was arrested and charged with five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving, second-degree disorderly conduct, and second-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle).

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred at approximately 9:00 Monday night, June 27, when Oller fled Leitchfield police. Officers briefly pursued Oller but lost contact with him.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Oller was placed in a pretrial diversion program in September 2023 following his arrest on December 31, 2021, for stealing items worth over $10,000 from several storage units in Clarkson.

He was charged in that case with receiving stolen property (more than $10,000). He was sentenced to five years in prison, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, but that sentence was suspended and Oller offered the pretrial diversion opportunity. He is on parole until September 2028.
