Death investigation underway after Hopkins Co. man dies in camper fire

A man has died in a camper fire in Hopkins County.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s office and multiple fire departments responded to a camper fire at approximately 2:20 Saturday morning in the 400 block of Fugate Avenue in Earlington, according to a report by WFIE.com.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found the camper was fully engulfed in flames. During a search of the camper after the fire was extinguished, the body of 32-year-old Joseph Harris, of Earlington, was discovered.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is leading the death investigation.
