The Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force (GHCNTF) has participated in an investigation that resulted in the seizure of over 4,000 pounds of marijuana bound for Bardstown.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said the task force, Kentucky State Police, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel intercepted a freight shipment of over 4,200 pounds of marijuana.
Authorities said the seizure is worth approximately $10 million on the streets.
The shipment originated in Canada, police said.
No arrests have yet been made but the investigation is ongoing.
The GHNFT operates in Hardin, Grayson, Hart, LaRue, Bullitt, and Nelson counties. Anyone with information on drug activity may contact the Greater Hardin Narcotics Task Force at 270-769-0694. Callers may remain anonymous.
