A Hardin County man is facing 30 child porn charges, according to Kentucky State Police.
The KSP Electronic Crime Branch arrested 41-year-old Timothy Shawn Wright, of Vine Grove, and charged him with 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance (victim under the age of 12), 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.
Wright was arrested after he was discovered sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, police said.
State police executed a search warrant at Wright’s residence on Thursday and seized equipment used to facilitate his crimes. The equipment was taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for analysis.
Wright was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
