The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office on Friday announced a Nelson County man who sold drugs to a person who later overdosed has been sentenced to prison.
Robert Girdley, 36, of Coxs Creek, pled guilty on Wednesday to reckless homicide and two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin, cocaine).
An investigation conducted by the Bardstown Police Department discovered that on March 15, 2020, Girdley sold cocaine and heroin to Adam Walker, who died as a result of using the drugs.
Girdley was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He will not be eligible for parole until he has completed 50 percent of his sentence.
