Authorities have identified the woman killed last week by a Rineyville man.

Richard A. Cook, 42, of Rineyille, is accused of shooting and killing 43-year-old Jessica Kelly, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at a residence on Custer Street sometime before 4:15 Thursday morning, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

Cook has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence.

“When there’s not a lot of ID on a person, it can be really difficult,” Hardin County Deputy Coroner Pat Elmore told the newspaper. “No idea why she was here or if she was traveling through, and we don’t know where she was going, sadly.”

The shooting occurred at Cook’s grandmother’s home.

Cook is being held in the Hardin Count Detention Center.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
