An Elizabethtown man has been sentenced to six years in prison after being found on top of an unconscious woman in a vehicle on I-65 in southern Indiana.

Michael L. Glover, 38, agreed to plead guilty to intimidation, with prosecutors dropping attempted rape and other charges, according to media reports.

Glover was arrested in March near the 22-mile marker of I-65 near Jeffersonville, Indiana, after police found him in a truck on top of an unconscious woman, who was naked from the waist down. Indiana State Police said in a statement that “it appeared the man was attempting to sexually assault her.”

When police made contact with Glover, he attempted to pull his pants up as he exited the truck. He also could not identify the woman, as he told police they were “new acquaintances,” authorities said.

Open alcoholic beverages were found inside the truck.

The victim, police said, was “unable to recall how or why she was found in Indiana.

Glover was originally charged with attempted rape, public intoxication (endangering life of another), public intoxication (endangering own life), disorderly conduct, and public nudity.
