The Grayson County Health Department (GCHD) will host a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Thursday.
GCHD Director Josh Embry said the clinic, held at the Grayson County Public Library, will not offer first doses of the Moderna vaccine, but first doses of the Pfizer and the J&J one dose vaccine will be available.
Additionally, booster shots will be available for Moderna, Pfizer and J&J vaccines.
The clinic will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and again from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
As of Wednesday, Grayson County’s rate of COVID occurrence stands at 47, the highest in western Kentucky and tenth highest of Kentucky’s 120 counties. The county’s incident rate is double Kentucky’s 23.58 rate of occurrence.
A rate of occurrence over 25 indicates a “critical spread” of the virus, according to the Kentucky Department for Public Health.
The Grayson County Public Library is located at 163 Carroll Gibson Boulevard.
