Kentucky State Police is investigating the second fatal officer-involved shooting by the Middlesboro Police Department in less than two weeks.

The second of the two shootings occurred Saturday morning at approximately 4:30 in Middlesboro, state police said in a statement.

Few details regarding the shootings have yet been released.

Middlesboro is a small town of about 8,700 residents in Bell County near the Tennessee line.
