KSP: Western Ky. man facing 200 child porn charges

A western Kentucky man is facing 200 counts of child porn after a Kentucky State Police investigation.

State police said that on Thursday, the KSP Electronic Crime Branch arrested 34-year-old Samuel C. Everly, of Calhoun, after authorities discovered Everly sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

The undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation resulted in Everly being charged with 100 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and 100 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.

The counts are class D felonies, punishable by up to five years in prison on each count.

Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination, police said.

Everly was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
