A storm with 70 mile per hour winds flipped a houseboat, nearly capsized another, and damaged a dock Monday night on Lake Cumberland.

Kentucky Fish & Wildlife officers responded to the State Dock Marina in Russell County at approximately 7:00 Monday night. Officials said six people were on the houseboat when it flipped upside down. All the occupants were rescued from the water, WJRS.com reports All those rescued were wearing life jackets, with some suffering minor injuries, officers said.

The damaged boat began to sink when it took on water, but it was dragged to the bank by dock workers, the news outlet reports. A dock was also damaged by the high winds.
