A Beaver Dam man charged in May with raping a child younger than 12 has now been charged with 27 counts of child molestation regarding a different young person.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said that in May his office began investigating allegations regarding multiple female juveniles being sexually abused over many years by 57-year-old Tony C. Lunsford.

The investigation’s findings were presented to an Ohio County Grand Jury, resulting in Lunsford being indicted on two counts of first-degree rape of a child 12 or younger and 15 counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a child 12 or younger.

Beatty said that since May, another juvenile victim has come forward with allegations against Lunsford. After an investigation and presentation to the Ohio County Grand Jury, Lunsford was indicted on two counts of rape (victim under the age of 12), 25 counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under the age of 12) and being a persistent felony offender.

The investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding Lunsford is asked to contact Ohio Co. Sheriff’s Office Detective Katie Pate at 270-298-4445.

Lunsford is lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
