A pastor from Kentucky has been arrested in North Carolina, accused of molesting a child.

Trent B. Holbert, 41, formerly a pastor at Epoch Fellowship Church in Owenton, was jailed in Black Mountain, North Carolina, on charges including indecent liberties with a child and two counts of statutory sex offenses (victim between 15- and six-years-old), according to a report by WLOS-TV.

In May, detectives with the Special Victims Unit of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Holbert’s residence. During the execution of the warrant, electronic devices were seized.

Holbert is listed as the lead pastor at The Ridge Church in Black Mountain. He pastored at the Owenton church until late 2017.

Holbert is being held on a $300,000 bond at the Buncombe County Detention Facility.

The investigation is ongoing.
