One suspect already jailed

Police arrested 26-year-old Erik T. Simcoe, of Clarkson, on a multitude of charges after he was listed as one of June’s Grayson County’s Most Wanted.

Simcoe was wanted on charges including, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, second-degree assault, fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property (under $10,000), third-degree criminal mischief, destruction of a VIN number, driving on a suspended/revoked license, and no driver’s license.

Simcoe’s charges arose after he was arrested in October of last year by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office when deputies spotted Simcoe driving on Old Leitchfield Road. Police knew Simcoe was wanted on theft charges and pursued the suspect.

Simcoe led police on a short chase before pulling into a driveway on Bruner Street, in Clarkson.

He was charged in that case with fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended/revoked license.
