A Leitchfield man has been arrested after leading police on a high-speed motorcycle chase from Hardin County to Clarkson.
Sunday night at approximately 8:20, Kentucky State Police entered Grayson County on Elizabethtown Road chasing a motorcycle being driven by 34-year-old Alan W. Culver. Culver was originally pulled over for speeding, but fled the stop.
Fleeing at a high rate of speed, Culver entered Clarkson where he turned onto Vanmeter Street to Spring Street. The suspect ditched the motorcycle in the 500 block of Spring Street and fled on foot.
Multiple troopers, Grayson County deputies, Leitchfield officers, and the Clarkson Police Department converged on the area as law enforcement searched Spring Street and Millerstown Street for Culver. Then, at about 9:00, Culver was seen hiding in a wooded area between Spring and Millerstown Streets. Police surrounded Culver and captured the suspect without further incident.
He was charged with two counts of fleeing or evading police (in a motor vehicle, on foot), reckless driving, speeding 26 mph over the limit, driving on an expired license, and disregarding a stop sign along with non-moving violations.
Culver was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
